reckon i've got some "catchin' up" to do re: HP?! :) ... can you believe i've never even seen the first movie ... not to mention how ever many there are between the first and the upcoming one / soon to premier ... heard yesterday that in many locations the newest movie is already sold out before the first showing ...
"Harry Potter Has Already Sold Out 2,000 Screenings" ...

however, i did find 5 in the series of Harry Potter books at a local goodwill ... how do you think the books compare to the movies?

I always like to read the books first. I reread all the books at the end of the school year and rewatched the movies. I really like the books, but I think the movies are good when compared with the written work. I am glad they split up the last book into 2 movies so it doesn't loose so much in the switch from book to screen.

Hi Jenn!
I guess maybe I could take it a book and a movie at a time?! :)

BC,

It actually took me a while before I saw the first Harry Potter movie. I ended up watching it when it played on the family channel about 2 years after the movie was released. I enjoyed it so much I actually ended up reading the books. I have to admit this series is one of the few where the movies closely follow the books. I'm an avid reader so I love the books (chalk it up to a highly active imagination).
