Now I'n off to you tube for some memories..."green onions hanging' all over the studio...keepin' the vampires away..."

I had a cassette tape, but it's since gone the way of permanent disposal...guess it's time to invest in a CD...

You know, I bet my family and I crossed your path at least once - possibly several times - during those years Janet!
- 'cause when my 3 kids were younger, we would always buy a "season's pass" to Opryland
- spent many an evenin' there!

Ofcourse my favorite area was "Doo Wah Ditty City" !!! :)
My kids during that time - at that age - were always more interested in the rides, play areas, and games!

One of my favorite shows was "I Hear America Singing" ...
- do you remember that one?!
- and, I always like the Dixieland music too!

I also had the opportunity to meet Roy Acuff once while he was sitting outside - in front of a gift shop - in the theme park!
- a very gracious man!

Good to hear from you again Janet! :)
- BC

[> [> crafts using vinyl records -- BC, 10:58:46 03/07/11 Mon

This morning - after my bus route - I made my weekly "run through" of the music dept. in our local Goodwill ...
- 1/2 price / 50 cents per album!

So, I admit, I had approximately 20 albums in my cart ...
- the sales clerk asked me if I was going to use the LP's to make "bowls"?!
*** evidently a a "certain shopper" [who shall remain nameless - 'cause I don't know who they were] ?! :) ...
- anyways, the clerk said someone purchased approximately 75 LP's to make bowls to use on tables at some sort of "Bingo" game gathering?!!!

Amongst the collection of LP's in my cart this mornin' was Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album
- so you know my answer to the clerk's question! :)
"NO WAY!" :)

But, I was curious ...
- even though, I myself would find it next to impossible to even consider "melting" any LP's or 45's ...
- unless the records were severely scratched, broken or warped "beyond hope"
- I searched YouTube, and found some vid's of crafts you can make using vinyl records

*** Warning! Please do not attempt - nor even consider - this type of project at home before consulting BC! :)
- she might want to purchase them from you at a "reasonable" price to further enhance her "oldies" collection! :)

so, here's some "crafty" vids ...
and, an "oldies moment" for ya's!

- actually, I think they're kinda cool too Gigi!
in fact, I bought a very old / scratched "45" yesterday which I'm hoping to "recycle" into a "reasonable facsimile" of the coasters myself! :)

speaking of the "Coasters" !!! :) ...

- look who else I found with a very nice "cover" version of the original Coasters song - "Searchin' " ...
*** Paul is singin' the lead in this very early "Silver Beatles" rendition of the song ...
