We had a tsunami watch, but very little action. My thoughts are with all those in Japan including a few friends both there and in Hawaii. All the turmoil, both natural and man-made from Australia and New Zealand to Libya and Wisconsin (not to mention good ol' Charlie Sheen) makes the world seem so very small and fragile.
I guess that is what is always worth remembering. In the scheme of things the Earth IS small and fragile and we are all connected by both the joys and the sorrows.
I had a dream last night about going out to the ocean to watch the tsunami and finding Stewart and many others of you doing the same thing. As we watched, the whales and other sea creatures got caught up in the turmoil as well. In each moment there was both joy and sorrow and great fear, but what I remember most was the sense of feeling connected and really feeling EVERYTHING.
Our lives are so full of barriers; barriers we put between ourselves and others, artificial barriers we call borders, barriers between people different than us.... It's too bad that it seems to take disasters to topple them for us. Like earthquakes, they shake us out of our comfort zones.

That was beautiful, Laura :) With all the evil and bad stuff out there, it is such a sad thing that there isn't more love. That is something we can control, but sadly so many of us chose hate or indifference. I mean that generally and am not talking about anyone here.

I'm thankful you're alright LauraG!
- and, I'm guessing that AnnW is safe and sound since ya'll both live relatively close to one another?!
- hoping Stewart is OK too!
