Subject: Spring Break

I am really enjoying my break so far. The kids and I visited 2 of the local museums yesterday. One is science related and we learned about air pressure and combustibility. Then we went to one that is dedicated to the 5 Sullivan Brothers and has all sorts of exhibits from all the wars, etc. It is kind of cool , you get a dog tag and assume a persona in the different exhibits. I'm hoping to make it to the art pavillion later and then maybe ice skating at the hockey rink. The best thing is that during this week admission is only a dollar at each venue! Otherwise- I need to get to my classroom and prepare for my student teacher too. I also got a jury summons yesterday. I would love to sit on an interesting case, but it is really difficult to be gone from school. Last time I was summoned they settled before hand so I didn't need to go.
Stewart- hope everything is going well with your new job. I'm reading a book called Gaviotas: A Village to Reinvent the World. I think you would really enjoy it. Everyone have a great week!

We have our spring break this week. I'm loving the ability to sleep in each day, but I am certainly not enjoying the stomach bug that I've had since Monday morning. Hopefully I can shake this bug soon because I want to enjoy my break more. I've got plans to go to Seaworld on Friday to take advantage of the free educator pass. Then on Saturday we are celebrating my birthday, though my birthday is actually on Thursday. In the meantime I will enjoy my toast, applesauce, and gatorade.

Hope you feel better Heather! Also, happy birthday! We have had tons of different "bugs" going through school lately so I hope it is over when I go back :) One week I averaged 7 gone a day. Have a great time at SeaWorld. I would love to be able to take my kids there someday.
