Subject: - gained a new perspective today! :)

- taking Geology this semester
- our "Prof." is originally from AU
- today, began to study about Wegener's theory of "continental drift"
- whilst viewing a power-point of how world maps have changed over the years, found the AU perspective of this one very interesting! :)

here's a link to the "current / updated world map"! :)

“The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be.”

We here on the West coast also get tired of the east coast /Euro perspective. Here is a view of what the world map should look like from our perspective.

It has been so long, I'm afraid you'll have to cut and paste to see what I mean.

In order for that map to be correct, we'd have to be upside down. lol I get the continental drift thing but that's not it. lol

Not to mention that Australia is also upside down on that map. So which is worse? To be "down under" or to be "upside down"?
