Well, I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer!
Here in our part of TN, the school buses will begin rolling again next Thursday ... August 1st !!! :)

The Canoe Journey sounds like a very interesting adventure!
So far so good in regards to this new school year! ...
But, I must admit ... I'm already counting the days until our two-week, fall break in October! :) Currently ... we are almost halfway there!

Wow! Thought I'd check in and then I see that your school is starting! We don't even start summer school until the fifth of August! Isn't it too hot for school in August?

My niece starts school this year! Geez where does the time go? I can't believe she's old enough. And next year my nephews will probably start! I feel so old! lol

Summer was fun for me. My best friend and I had a road trip to Washington, D.C. Then in July we had our big family reunion and I was a group leader for adventure week at church. The past two weeks I've been getting my classroom ready. Today we had to sit through a workshop about a very scripted and boring reading intervention program (ughh!!)Next week is pre-planning and I meet my kiddos on Friday the 16th.

BC I thought about you and Eoghann today. Im heading out for vacation and I wish Eoghann was going with me!! Our school doesnt start for another week or so and so we are taking the kids for vacation before another school year starts. It is also our 20th anniversary this september so we celebrate in august. I hope you are having a great summer.
