Subject: Please be careful

Stewart told me that he didn't want his business address being shared. So if anybody copied it down, please be honest and don't use it! (And if you're curious the reply containing the address has been deleted.)

Also, please, before you post things, remember. Anything these days can be found online, but that doesn't mean they should be shared, or that people should be bothered. Especially when you don't know them personally. How would you feel if someone posted your personal info anywhere?
Not trying to be mean, just pointing it out. Please think before posting.

And the above message was a general message, not to anyone in particular. It's very easy to share everything online without thinking, but just because we can doesn't mean we should."

Knowing that was a public email, (can easily be found online) I assumed it was ok, though why I also prefaced it with the statement asking to be corrected if it wasn't). Please forward my apologies if you speak to him. Least I want to upset our host. :(

Actually it's not that easily found online anymore. In fact, it's not even on the paso page anymore. And I know that for a fact because I looked.

You didn't upset him, but he asked that it not be shared. it's that simple. It is after all his work email address. And I'm assuming that's why the address isn't on the paso page anymore.

That's was the whole point of my first post. It wasn't to upset anybody, just to point out that even though it's easily available (or not) somewhere doesn't mean that we should freely share it. Again, just because we can doesn't mean we should. That's all.

And don't be worried. It's ok. :)

As Neeney stated, Stewart requested that his email address not be given out and that should be respected. This is the Age of Information, yes, but we do need to exercise some discretion and common courtesy, just as we would expect from others in regards to our own lives. The sometimes troubling aspect of this era is that information can be a little too readily available. The poster who requested his autograph went so far as to look up and ask his children for his contact information... I am sorry, but no part of that is okay! It is true that Stewart has made himself accessible to fans beyond just the 180 characters that many celebrities use. However, that does not mean any of us have the right to act on his behalf - including us moderators - by giving out personal information.
We, by no means, want this to be a place of extreme censorship. In fact, I am glad to see recent posts here as forums like these have become antiquities. ;-) Neeney and I are happy to answer questions anyone may have and even to seek out the best way fans can get in touch with Stewart for autograph inquiries and what not.
Let's just learn and move on from this experience. No one needs to fret or lose sleep or leave this board over this. :-) We all now know Stewart's wishes so there's no reason to dwell on this issue. Xx

[> painting -- Marlene E. Hager (joyful), 17:02:18 04/10/14 Thu

Hello Stewart, I read your bio and noticed you paint. I think you're a wonderful actor, but was surprised to read that you paint. I also paint impressionistic style. What style do you paint? Are you into scenic? I love doing Southwestern. I'm around your age, so this isn't a letter from a teen fan. I read you live in California. Are you concerned about what traveled from Japan to the West coast? Are you a Christian? I liked your sense of humor in Christy. You seem like someone who laughs easily, and can make others laugh. It would make my day to hear from you.

Welcome Marlene! Glad you're here.

Stewart doesn't come here much anymore, but he does sometimes. Your art sounds fascinating!

Hello Stewart, Just discovered Christy. My daughter's name is also Kristy, just spelled different. I understand you are an artist!! I would love to see your work on this website. I'm into Southwest landscape. What do you like to paint? I live in Nevada. We're in the process of moving to Boulder City. It's a lovely town near the dam. I'll enjoy painting out there. We live in a dying town now. I believe you live in Anaheim, California. Correct me if I'm wrong. I read that you make wine. It seems a noble way spend the day. I don't drink plus it tastes like vinegar. I like Kiafa though. I tastes sweet like cough syrup. I think I had it 10 years ago,,just love it. Bye. Hope to hear from you.
