Subject: Broken Hill

Stewart, my mother and her family went to Broken Hill about 1905. They were encouraged to go there from Englsnd by an uncle. I believe he would be John MacLennan. His wife would be Mary. The MacLennans came to Newcastle from Lossie Mouth, Scotland. My great grandmother was named Nancy and married a Lawson. Her daughter Maria married a Butcher and that was my mother's family. My mother loved her grandmother Nancy and often spoke of her being so generous. If you admired anything in her house, you went home with it. My mother was the same.
Do you know a John? Edith
