Subject: My ONLY commentary on this thread

A beautifully put together description of toy collecting there Gok! :)

To address another point though

{i}Now, I've asked it before -- why does Christianity view gay love as being wrong/invalid?

The only answers I've been presented so far have been:
(1) Gay love is wrong because it does not lead to procreation.
(2) It is against the law of God/the Church.

I have dismissed these arguments, NOT merely for the sake of dismissing them, but because NEITHER of them satisfactorily answer the question.[/i]

But that's not the point m'boy. You asked why _Christianity_ views homosexuality as wrong. The answers provided are the answers Christianity holds to be true. Whether YOU do or not is completely irrelevant, as is whether you feel they are good answers or can accept them or not.

I'm a practicing Catholic, and I do take serious issue with a number of the Church's teachings in this regard, for a number of personal reasons, but I cannot _refute_ the position of the Church until the Church does.

There are also sections of the Bible which decry homoexuality and the Bible is accepted as the human interpretation of the Word of God. But, sadly for the zealots, as the most often cited quotation then goes on, a few chapter later, to decry anyone wearing a polycotton blend shirt to damnation for all eternity, I just can't take it too seriously.

As has been said, "Faith fills in the spaces left by science".
