I've worked other jobs in which I've had to serve customers in person, and in those customers have behaved more like the callers we get. So I'm still wondering: what makes pizza delivery different? One possibility is that with delivery I'm actually serving them at their home, rather than in a more public setting, so when I visit them they're in "polite host" mode. Or maybe the glowing sign on top of my car sends out little hypnotic suggestions saying, "Be nice." :p I dunno.
