But yes, the term "robot" generally refers to some kind of anthropomorphic android -- in cases like Laserbeak and Ravage, their robot modes were based on beasts, but they were still technically their robot modes (if we loosely define alt mode as being their "disguise" mode -- yes, I know they seldomly used their alt modes as disguises, and in cases like the Dinobots, they simply never worked as disguises, hence why I said "loosely").
