I don't really know those guys, but I'll ask around and see what some of my colleages know.

Otherwise just try it for yourself -- authentic or not, you'll personally be able to judge whether or not it's a formidable fighting style. One fun and effective way to test a style is to cross train with friends who practice different styles and see how those moves chalk up against other styles. All too often a style can seem effective when training within itself.
