The Helical Number Line has been found to be of great help for children who have difficulty with understanding the decimal number system, including sufferers from dyslexia.
We have a web site www.numdrum.com which describes the "Numdrum" (numbers on a cylinder). Over 1000 schools are using them in the UK and a growing number in the rest of the world. Over 37,000 have been sold. Children of all abilities enjoy them and find them helpful.
