Have you had your son tested by a neuropsychologist? That is the way I found out my son had dyslexia. It is much more thorough testing which looks for your child's strengths and weaknesses. They will also give you recommendations for learning strategies. My thought is, that maybe there is something else going on other than or in addition to dyslexia? You can also reach out for a second opinion. I listened to a speaker named Susan Barton a few months back. She has a website on dyslexia called brightsolutions.us. I had questions and called her phone number and she actually answered the phone and helped me out.
