I'm so sorry to hear of your distress. What I find, in both research and practice, that children who have problems with reading often have core problems with oral language that can be very difficult for parents and teachers to notice. If possible, either through your school or privately, get your child seen by a Speech and Language Pathologist that can give you specific information about weak areas your child may have and give you advice on what you can do to help him.
