I can see where you would be concerned, particularly with a family history of dyslexia. You have gotten some good advice regarding testing (early or later). A few things I'd suggest based on my experience with my own children (one dyslexic, one not) is 1) try not to let your daughter feel overly pressured. While I think it's wise to further investigate the possbility of a reading difficulty, she is still quite young. If you are very stressed or pressuring her a great deal to do something that is so difficult, it might backfire in her digging her heels in more. 2) You are probably already doing this, but reading to her every day, from a wide range of books (levels & topics) is great. When we had my son evaluated for dyslexia, they discovered that while he struggles with reading, his vocabularly & comprehension are very high. I attribute that in large part to how much I have read to him his whole life.
