Please don't stop your support for your child in school. Does your child have an official IEP and if so what is the support that you have requested? I have one child who is dyslexic and another one who is ADD. If you do not have that official IEP request that your child be retested and even if your child has one request another meeting. Never give up you are your child's advocate. Only you know what is best for your child to succeed. I also recommend you see a neurologist for an official diagnosis for ADD and Dyslexia. If they feel your child does not need the IEP I would come back with a 504 plan which is similiar to an IEP but has to due with a medical diagnosis. Let me know what modifications you have in your IEP and I can help you. I have 3 children with learning disabilities and have written many IEPs. Good Luck!
