Kneeling,she unwraps it to reveal a dragonet.It begins to squall,and turns an alarming shade of red."Hush,now,little one.It's all right.I'm here." Celeste soothes the baby with chirps and whistles.The young dragonet sits up,and gazes at her with calm green eyes.Red turns slowly to a sky blue,and the dragonet clutches the princess with fervent hope."Yes,yes.I'll be your mother.Now,where will you-?" The baby screeches happily and toddles a few feet quickly.Suddenly,the dragonet sneezes a burst of blue-green fire, which envelops Alancha's shoes,charring them black.Groaning,Celeste moves to the baby,who promptly snatches a shoe and begins to gnaw on it."Give it here! Oh,Alancha's gonna kill me!" She grabs the shoe and the dragonet starts to scream.Scooping her up,Celeste murmurs quietly."Well,it's only a shoe,nothing irreplacable,eh,Baby? We just...won't tell her." The little one squeaks and snuggles close to Celeste."I just hope she...doesn't notice."
