D&L

It is a Dark & Light thread on the Darkfall board. It seems several of the people have been in beta and they are actually breaking the NDA, hehe.

I will quote some of the posts below.
Based on them, I believe we might be in for a disappointment on the 8th of december. But heck, I will test it anyway, then we will see. One thing is for sure though: I will under no circumstances go through another level grind!

"I know quite a bit about DnL....So I'll post a few qualities here.

1. Fighting : Click and go make coffee.....honestly a 2 year old could do it.
2. PvP : Completley Level Based, no skill involved at all, and mages are overpowered.
3. Graphics : im not a big fan of graphics, but the DnL graphics are WAY overated, they arent nearly as good as they are making it out to be.
4. Company :has lied multiple times (I DO MEAN MULTIPLE), made up stuff, all out is disorganized and has no idea wtf they are doing.
5. Class System : Worthless... lets put it that way.
6. Wars : I figured this idea would be somewhat fun, but its trash, just a lot of crappy pvp going on at once.
7. Lag : They said something about lagless servers...yet another lie, unless they are able to fix this..."

"Several SUN's have DnL beta accounts. The game sux. They have franchised the Big World 3D engine and have created some nice landscape, sure, but they lack the skill to produce a good game."

"/agree Im betaing DNL right now and its far from promising. It does have some great features but Im hoping the pvp in this game blasts that game outta the water. Besides DF is skill based and I like that better than the XP grind."

"I think what we will see is a lot of people playing DnL till DFO goes beta and then they will leave. My reasoning for this is that a lot of people have been craving a new game with good PvP for a long time and DnL has PvP so everyone will flock to it.

To sum it up, I ask a guildmate why he thought DnL had a large following and he said, "it's simple, DnL has a release date and DF doesn't". I think people are just tired of waiting. It's been what, 4 years now?".
