That is a nice position to have :)

It is extremely hard to get a job with ID software. They are on purpose a very small company (Carmack isn't motivated by money, I guess he has enough :) ), so they rarely hire new staff. And then they are leaders on graphics in games, so it must be interesting to work there.

Anyway, a belgian company called Elsewhere-Entertainment (Elsewhere-Entertainment) is interested in hiring me. I will be talking about salary etc. in a phone interview today, pretty exciting.

About RtCW: That is also good news! That game was very innovative when it came out, really pushing the FPS genre forward. It had a very interesting teamplay, that everyone has copied since (like Battlefield2 and Planetside).

I hope they manage to be as innovative again. Especially since ID aren't very innovative normally when it comes to gameplay, Quake hasn't evolved much over the years. I hope they redeem themselves gameplay-wise with RtCW, that has a special place in my FPS heart :)
