Planet Surface

"There was a streaming mist in all the hollows, and it roamed in its forlornness up the hill, like an evil spirit, seeking rest and finding none. A clammy and intensely cold mist, it made its slow way through the air in ripples that visibly followed and overspread one another, as the waves of an unwholesome sea might do. It was dense enough to shut out everything from the light of the coachlamps but these its own workings, and a few yards of road; and the reek of the labouring horses steamed into it, as if they had made it all." - Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
This is the planet of Yuggoth. A very nice looking place, covered in grassy feilds, forests, and other plant life. Hot springs bubble amongst mountain sides, but it is all a facade. The springs are sulphurous, the mountains are volcanic, the ecosystem is parasitic, and the plants our vampiric. The creeping white mist that lazily drifts across the landscape, voraciously strips the grounds of life. It is no wonder why no civilization exists here. The whole planet broods in dark energy amongst the fog. Nothing good can come from here. On the tallest volcano, powered by its thermal energy, a dark set of towers spiral up towards the sky.
