Subject: Autumn Feis

The venue space was awesome. Never felt crowded. Lunch line was terrible....that can be resolved, I'm sure (although the hot dog was delicious!)Judges...uggh! I am soooo tired of predjudice judges. Retire already!!!!!

It is such common knowledge that judges don't like certain schools (or their steps)yet these judges are the same ones we see all over the midwest. I assure you this is not sour grapes or poor sportsmanship. This is the voice of someone who has spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the last 8 years. I am just tired of judges who fall asleep at the table, need numbers read off for them, speak with owners of dance schools right at a stage in front of competitors, and clearly don't rank the best dancers. All those who feel the same way, we need to say "enough" and boycott these feis' that keep hiring the same judges.

at my daughters High School softball games that the umpire behind the plate calling balls & strikes be rotated throughout the game. It's only fair right ?

Our daughter dances for what might be the newest school in the region and it didn't seem to affect our kids with the judges (contrary to the comment about the judges favoring the older schools). We didn't have many dancers at the feis, but every one of them placed in at least one dance. The transfers also placed in more dances (and higher placements) than they placed in their prior schools. Also, we only had the same judge for two dances one time. The venue had plusses and minuses,but the feis was run well and the Judging was good. Maybe it is the steps and not the "bias" of the judges.

Most feises post judges after you sign up and offer no refund if you are unhappy.

It is an NAFC/IDTANA RULE that ALL FEISANNA MUST POST their adjudicators a minimum of THREE WEEKS PRIOR to the CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES
