First off, thanks for this great site!!! I am the proud second owner of a Marantz Pianocorder. Long story short, the player part hadn't worked in about 10 years, the piano hadn't been played in about 10 years, bought it from the original owner for 100 bucks...(I didnt haggle or anything!!)

About two hours of cleaning and fixing and I find that the tape player will not turn the tape at the right speed. A little review of this great website and I find that the tape speed is 3.75 ips. Well, I have an older Tascam portastudio 414 mark II that plays and records at 3.75 ips. A cassette adaptor, a 1/4 phone plug adaptor and the Pianocorder plays again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so if your tape deck is bad, hunt ebay for a tascam 414 mark 2 and play away...

We just finished dinner to one of the orginal tapes!!! (the hustle.... he he )...

what a great machine and what a great site this is!!!!!!!
