Author: Fairy Queen
Subject: Truely Enchanted

Across the immense entangled masses, the Enchanted Forest still shimmered with the magic of generations both told and untold. However, amongst the singing of the trees and the glimmer of the dew upon the leaves, there was an eerie silence. The air was saturated with a lost hope that could not be spoken for. The only cry was that of an estranged creature, concerned greatly at the ailment of the forbidden land. Would anyone hear? What had become of the magic?

And yet, nothing was dead, only preserved to be aroused at an unspoken time. The enchantment still lived, dancing in the wind and whispering to any passers by that it was indeed still there, and indeed still very much alive to those who wanted it to be. Was there hope? Many wondered if the forest could live to its mystifying potential again, thriving as the beautiful haven it once was. Only the Fairy Queen knew.

What had become of the Fairy Queen? Hidden away by shrouds of deep greens and rich woods, she rested concealed from eyes and judgments. Gracefully she lied across her bed, surrounded by elegant fabrics of majestic purples and blues. Her charming face rested sweetly upon her arm as she slept in a comfortable but elegant position; her hand hung limply over the side of the bed. The cool breeze drifted through the open window and flirted with her long, dark hair. Although unconscious, her wings twitched occasionally, and even through her closed eyes it was revealed that she was in deep thought. She was very much alive, being connected to the stirrings of the Enchanted Forest. The essence of the mysterious realm lived only inside of her, and would only be awakened once she had been. What had caused her to fall into this mystical sleep? Not even the fairies could tell you, for they too were fast asleep. Throughout the earth, the fairies lied in anticipation of the awakening of themselves and their beloved ruler. Even the vegetation anxiously waited for the time of new beginnings and returns.

None of them were in pain. In fact, the Fairy Queen felt much peace as she rested, recovering and growing physically, mentally, and spiritually. Deep inside of her, she knew why everyone had fallen asleep, but it was not yet time to tell. Everything had a purpose, place, and destiny that she knew would take its course whether she intervened or not. Patiently, she slept, remembering her past and being hopeful of the future. The forest would be ok without her for a while. As the trees rustled and whispered their hushed secrets, the Fairy Queen smiled gently. Someday, she would return.
