The footing was rough, uneven, the slope steep, yet still she continued, seeking ever for the summit. Finally she reached it, copper mane glowing like blood in the evening sky, striking against a background of black, illuminated only by stars. She quivers in expectation, unknowing of the reason for her search for solitude, nor why it brought her here. Turning her eyes, reddened coals, upwards, she gazes at the stars, a feeling of contentment pouring over her. |
