Aged steed's smile quickly fades, and he blinks back tears. She'd been the one who was a constant. When all others he had ever loved had come and gone, she'd returned many a time, ever in his thoughts. Only now did he realize how much he had truly loved the mare, something he should have done much earlier. Now, it was too late. He glances to Finale, grateful for her presence, before looking to Soul.

I thank you for coming here to tell me, Soul. It means a lot, I assure you, and I am ever grateful. I - if you'll excuse me, I need to think this over. Perhaps... Maybe I'll visit the Caves, though before too long, I shall make my permanent residence there. Wit this news, I hope - perhaps it shall be soner rather than later.

He dips head in silent farewell to steed. He knew him only as an acquaintance, yet he counted him a friend. Glancing to Finale once more, sad smile lighst features momentarily, before turning, and making his way slowly away.
