*She canters lithely to a spot in the desert that is desolate, empty, and torching hot. She stands her mind a torrent of thoughts. Her ebony coat starting to glisten from sweat of the desert heat. Finally her thoughts take over and she stands in a daze, zombie-like, oblivious to the world around her.*
**Past**
"Gemini!"
*The sound of her father's voice as the wolves tore him apart echoed in her young mind.*
"Save yourself my daughter."
*She remembered running as fast as her young legs could take her. She was tired, but the wolves were now in hot pursuit of her. She ran and ran until she came upon this new land. She was terribly frightened, not ready to trust a single soul. She vowed then and there, she would never ge emotionally involved with anyone. But as Gemini came into the lives of the darks in this new land, a stallion, a long time resident of the land, invited her to come to his home. She obliged, not having anywhere else to go. But when she came in the land, she was unhappy, the place was too crowded, she wanted wide open space. She fled the tt, to a different one to hide. A lone steed resided in the land. His expression was evil yet gentle. He wanted to know why she had come, and afer a while she told the stallion her story.*
*Though Gemini was starting to like the new steed, she could not get te nourishing milk she needed from this stallion. Deceiving Devil gave her permission to find a mare and invite her to the land, he would give the mare refuge, if she would give he filly milk. Gemini quickly agreed and went off searching for a mare she thought she could call 'Mother'. Her search ended when she met Sweet Revenge, the mare accepted the filly's proposal, and she nursed the filly to health and to age. As time passed Devil and Sweet began to fancy each other and they became mates. Gemini liked this, it was like having a family. Sweet had twins, Devil's Revenge and Sweet Deceit, the almost grown filly was now an older sister.*
*As time passed, Gemini became fancied with a mystery steed, yet he did not love her, or even know she exsisted. Her heart was cold once more.*
**Present**
*One day a steed name Noche came into her life, she befriended the steed, and he proposed that they may be mates. Terrified Gemini refused telling Noche that she did not know him well enough to make such a commitment. So Noche tried to get to know the mare. Gemini began to like and respect the steed. Her feeling were nearing that which Gemini didn't ever want to happen. Her head said no, but her heart said otherwise. Still afraid, she hid, not knowing what to do.*
**Future**
*As she grew older and hid her feelings from Noche, her life seemed torment her. She knew that it was there, she could not escape it, yet now Noche had given up on the mare and Gemini was left alone. No one to love or to love her. It was a horrible life to live, but it was the only one possible. Even Devil had died leaving no one to protect her, she was again terrified of life and what it had to offer.*
*The mare almost screamed at the frightening visions of the past and future. In her heart she knew she could not change the visions of the horrid first days of her past, yet she could change that future, she could have someone to love her...even if it wasn't Noche, there could be someone else out there...she would not give into this dreaded future. She would not end up hating and terrified of life. It was the only reason she was here, to live life, and she should not be afraid of it. With this her thoughts clear way offering relief to the exhausted and afraid mare. Standing there she almost trembles at what is to happen next in this turmoil that one calls "Life".*
