Mare gasps in surprise at the harsh tone spoken to her, but she stands firm, determination etched 'pon golden visage.
"Do not speak to me in such a tone. I am Juliet. Your friend, remember? No matter how you change, or what sides we are on. Perhaps you have forgotten Silver as well? Though we are friends, you two were even closer. In answer to your question, I have not come to bring you back. If your sire could not, then I know that I cannot, for he is greater and wiser than I. And I learned a long time ago that once one's mind is made up, only he can change it. You are too strong-willed, Starba."
Using the title so familiar to her, she continues, thinking nothing of it. Tone is demanding and firm, yet behind it, there remains kind and gentle nature.
"I did not come to persuade, not you at any rate, but me. I could not believe what had been told me. That the colt I once knew had changed into a stallion who would so willingly harm those who loved him most...those who gave him the life that he now used to wound them. Your mother's heart is breaking. Your father wishes for your return, but he will not come after you. None will, Starba. You must decide if you will return, or if you shall make your home here, among the Dark. We shall return to normal as best we can, with or without you. My concern now is for my son. I do not wish to see him turn as you have. It matters little to me what you do, but only what he becomes."
Voice remains steady, but eyes flicker slightly, as untruth issues from lips. He would not listen to her words if she begged him to return. Though she cared for him dearly, almost as a son, the decision was his own.
"I must return now. Your mother needs comefort, with so much that she has lost, and you do little good for her here, though it is obvious it matters not. And I have my own son to love. My curiosity is satisfied. You are changed, as they have said. Do as you will, Starba. I will not return to this land again of my own free will, so I do not plan to see you again, lest we meet in yonder Caves after mortal breath has left. If you return, we will welcome you gladly, but life will go on if you do not, though we carry heavy hearts. Think long and hard before making final decision, for with decision, your destiny may be changed."
Stretching muzzle out, she nudges stallion's chest gently.
"Look deep within your heart. Search for the answer there, for I have found, when my mind serves no good, my heart has lead me well. Farewell, Starba. I pray our paths may cross again, but if not, farewell."
(OOC: Sorry it's so long. I kept thinking of things to say, and poor Juliet had a lot on her heart.) :P
