I have not long started aswell but can help you!!!

The three components of a CPU are:

The arithmetic/logic unit (ALU); The control unit; Registers.

The part of processing data is basically a diagram showing the different peripherals connected to the CPU with lines and arrows showing the way the information is transferred. i.e. input devices (mouse etc would have an arrow pointing into the CPU and monitor output device would have an arrow pointing outwards and modem output/input would have two lines one going in and one out.
