Subject: The new home tutor

Hi all

Just to answer the questions you (and others who probably read this forum but don't post here) have: there is a new home tutor in for the Visual BASIC course - her name is Tracy Borland. She is now marking all homeworks that come to her.

We have contacted Royal Mail and BT to set up her freepost address and her freephone number, and are awaiting that information - when we have it, I have an update ready and waiting to go out to all of you, and I assume Tracy will send out a welcome letter of her own as well (I will speak to her and find out if she will or not - but you will receive an update from me). The new details will also be posted here. As soon as we get the information, I will pass it on to you guys (and girls) asap.

In the meantime - obviously, having a home tutor in place is no good if you can't get your homework to her, so send your work to me or Hilary and include a wee note in it saying to pass to Tracy. We have her home address (which, for obvious reasons, we can't give out) but it does mean we can pass things to her in the meantime - that way you get things marked, Tracy gets on with her job and we avoid another backlog problem building up.

So pass work to myself or Hilary so we can pass it to Tracy. If you have enquiries about the course, email me/phone me and I can help and also pass them on to Tracy (to give her some idea of the type of enquiries she will get when her phoneline is made available to the students)

Sorry about the confusion folks, hope this has cleared it up a little for you. If you have any other questions, just give me a call/drop me an email/get me through AIM or MSN/send a flock of pidgeons/rugby tackle me in the car park - I'll be happy (unless you do rugby tackle me) to answer any queries.

Cheers

Douglas
