Subject: Roadshows in your areas

Hi all

We have four distance learning roadshows taking place in the coming weeks. These will be held on the following dates:

The format of all the roadshows will be that of a one-to-one surgery with the Helpdesk Co-ordinator: if you have a problem, bring it along and we will sit down together and work it out. If your problem cannot be worked out on the day, it will be taken away and worked on at the college and a solution returned to you as soon as possible. So if you need help with any aspect of your course � getting started, working through difficult assessments or even if you just want to talk about how your course is going, please come along.

If you can attend anyof the roadshows, please let me know as soon as possible either by phone on 0845 650 2170 or by email at dthomson@stow.ac.uk. Given the number of students in the area, and the time available, places on the roadshow may be limited. You are free to come along �on spec� on the day but priority will be given to those students who have booked a place in advance. If this happens, another roadshow will be scheduled in the same area as soon as possible to allow more students to attend. The roadshows are free, and they are designed to support you with your distance learning course, so I hope you will think about coming along.

Two more are planned for the weekend of 18th and 19th October 2003 in Edinburgh and Borders (borders location still to be finalised) - so please think about coming along to a roadshow near to you, to offer these services and more in the future we need enough numbers.

Additionally, for students in the Glasgow area, a series of Saturday morning clinics will soon be taking place as a pilot programme - details will be put up here as soon as we work them out ourselves, so watch this space.
