Subject: Sub Main Not Found - Build Error

Hi all

I have had a few queries lately from VB.Net students about a build error - Sub Main Not Found.

This is a really common error message, and it means that the form has somehow become detached from the code. I don't know why this happens but it is very common, but you'll be pleased to know is also a very easy problem to fix. You don't need to redo the whole program!!!!!

Run the program so the build errors are shown and when it asks if you want to continue - say no.

Now in the errors window, double click on the bit that says - Sub main etc. This will bring up a new window. The name of your form should be shown here, simply click on it to highlight and then on Okay.

This will fix the problem and the program should now run.
