Yeh, I also went through a patch when I wondered what I needed to do to get an A.

You kind of have to do a look through the thing to see it - like some times you pick up more in your pheriperal vision. Always try to give people what they want, so figure out what it is they want from you. At one time I thought that evidence of research on the web was the thing and got better marks than I expected for stuff I grabbed of web pages. Then there is that thing - you know that you know something but they don't know that you know it unless you tell them.

Mostly when I got marked down it was because I had misunderstood what was being asked or overlooking things. One time I got a C because I didn't realise there were two more questions on the other side of the page. Boy did my daughter rib me about that one! (Rolling about on the floor clutching her self for two minutes. Very petty and childish, humph!)

Remember that your tutor marks hundreds of these things from people at all sorts of levels from numpties like me to guys that have been in the industry for years like you. Somewhere, if only in her head, will be a list of points. You hit the point you get a mark. In general, the assignments are not always briliantly worded and you may not see what is wanted straight away, so ask your tutor when that happens. They seem to have a limitless supply of patience and quite often have help sheets to dish out.

I found the theory hard as I was not much interested and didn't see the point, so the difficulty was to stay motivated. You will have to find your own way over that if you are experiencing this too. There are some nice projects just around the corner. TMA I is quite a challenge for most folk.

Hope these remarks help you.
Cheers now,
Ronnie.
