Subject: theory book 2 TMA C questions 5 & 6

Hello out there!! I started this course two weeks ago now and feel really stupid having to ask for help so early on!!
I dont think my brain has settled down properly yet to studying again (its been a while!)
Anyhoo, these two questions have baffled me. Does question 5 mean list each language as it has been developed or does it mean list things like assembly language, machine code, high and low level etc. ? and question 6 : does this mean an actual error code e.g. 'error at line ....' or does it mean that with the compiler errors will not be identified until the program has been written and executed???
I am sure all the old duffers out there who studied computers at school on the BBC Micros 18 years ago will understand where I am coming from in trying to sort out the logig behind some of these questions! Do I need to simplify my thought process or am I on the right track??
Thanks guys xx
