Sorry about the title. I was in a bit of a Smirnoffy mood today... can "Smirnoff" be used as an adjective? Anyway, here's my rundown.

The O'Reilly Factor: Sorry, this was a bad O'Reilly parody. It just portrayed him as a crazy bigoted, uninformed loon. If you're going to do a proper O'Reilly parody, in my opinion you have to keep him in character. Have him comment against secular progressives or bring on that body language expert he always invites to the show.

Monologue: Nicely done, a good jab at activists who do outlandish things claiming they're "making a statement" without justifying the reason why. Her anger at the cast members for trying to get her to explain was enjoyable. Plus, regarding the internet "freaks", well... the thought of a smooth-scalped Drew left me quite aroused... I've probably said too much.

The Bank Robbery: A three-parter I wrote inspired by the true crime specials I watch and the series "Lupin the 3rd." If you haven't seen Lupin, I highly advise you to check it out; it's great. Admittedly the first two might have been a little lackluster, but I wanted to use them to set up the absurd ending to the third part. Hopefully some people liked it.

Virgin Couple: Hilarious. Nice job of using something the audience can't see to drive the humor home. The couple's reactions to what was going on in the videos were priceless, and the ending was a great kicker.

K-Fed's Wrapped Up Apology: Didn't do it for me. I don't like K-Fed jokes, and this just seemed to me to be another bad "Federline wants to be a rapper, but he's just a white-trash loser" bit. I apologize, but again, it's not my thing.

Bring Your Parent To School Day Guessing Game: I had a little trouble following this sketch. It did have some humorous moments (The gun bit "I was aiming for his crotch", the method actor revelation at the end.) But the dialogue didn't really appeal to me that much, and the points of the guessing game kept jumping around in too many weird directions. Sorry.

Office Wormhole: Good premise, and some clever bits with the hole in space-time. I especially liked how nonchalant they were about their impending nuclear doom. The only thing that I had trouble with was there were no emotional directions; we couldn't tell how the actors were delivering their lines. Other than that, nice skech.

Sungrass and Hedgewood: Yeah, another Bush-bashing sketch, plus a song that they admit is three years old. Not my cup of cocoa, sorry.

Beanous-Moronus: I figured the whole Boston scare made them deserving of mockery. The problem was, too many of the events where people got scared by the thought of a bomb happened years ago. It would have been better had it remained current and focused solely on people in Boston, not just politicans and famous people there, but everyday individuals who had become excessively paranoid. Still, a good effort. Welcome to SNY, Doug.

That's it for me this week. Will I again be the only one brave enough to submit a review, or will someone else heed the call? Only the Shadow knows!
