In 1924, for his Doctorate, Luis Duc de Broglie formulated and presented: Analogous to the dual nature of light (that at times acts as a particle, & at times acts as a wave). Similarly all particles (example an electron) will also act at times as a WAVE ! --- Mathematically he presented: Since the momentum of a material particle is its mass (m) times its vel. (v); the (de Broglie ) wavelength = (lambda (sub B)
= h/mv. Duc de Broglie proposed these 'waves' are not classical "em" waves, but are "pilot" (matter) waves. Duc
de Broglie does not support his Argument with experimental evidence. * HE BASED HIS ARGUMENT ON HIS INTUITIVE FEELING
AND THE VALIDITY OF HIS MATHEMATICAL FORMULATION !
