Subject: Mariah sped down the road towards the estates...

As she neared the house, she turned her blaring rap music down drastically, and slowed her terrifying speed down a hell of a lot. She pulled into the drive way, and manevured the small 1987 mustang around everyone else's vechicles, so as not to block them in. She turned the headlights off, and cut the car off. She took her keys from the ignition and got out of the car.

Mariah was greeted by her black and white cat, Majik, running from where she laid on the porch railing and jumping onto her car hood and to her shoulder. Mariah reached up and rubbed the cat's chin gently, and said, "Hey baby girl! You miss me?" Majik responded by snaking her head under Mariah's chin and rubbing against her skin, purring loudly.

Mariah rubbed the slender cat's back and slipped her keys into her back pocket of her shorts. She walked up the porch stairs. Quietly, she opened the front door in case everyone was asleep. She hadn't actually met Monty, but she sure as hell didn't want to make him mad by waking him up when he didn't even know who she was.

Mariah took her keys from her pocket and laid them on the table. She poured a bit of cat food into Majik's kitty food bowl, and recieved Majik's purr of approval as the fat feline ate. Mariah stroked the pampered cat's back and then turned to the cabinets. She needed to find a hot cocoa mix and a mug.

Dreadful, her doberman female, trotted into the kitchen and flopped down on the floor. She was extremely crabbing this evening, being that she had just found out that the new girl had brought her dumb dogs here. The last thing Dreadful needed was a bunch of half-bred dobermans running around here with herself and Raven. Dreadful and Raven had silently vowed to each other to protect Mariah and the family from these nauseating creatures calling themselves dobermans.

Raven loped in the kitchen and jumped up on Mariah, wiggling his but furiously as he wagged his tail. He bathed Mariah in dog kisses, until Mariah pulled back from the loveable doberman male. He licked her hands, and jumped around prancefully. Raven only had a few number of people he wouldn't harm, and they were Mariah, Aaron, Amber, Ashleigh, Mike, Chester, Chase, and Chase's family. The dogs he wouldn't hurt were: Aaron's pit bull Staind, Mike's labrador Jesse, Chester's beagles Redman and Snoopy, and Dreadful. Anyone else who crossed his path that wasn't included in those lists was on his menu. He circled Mariah playfully, and started yapping loudly.

Mariah hissed, "Shhh!" at Raven, and clamped a hand around his mouth. She kept her hand there until Raven stopped figeting. Mariah let go, and then kissed his head. She stroked Raven's head, and praised, "There's a good, quiet boy." Mariah turned from the dog and poured some food into his bowl and Dreadful's.

Raven eagerly devoured his food. He made the mistake of sneaking over to Dreadful's bowl. He didn't know Dreadful could run that fast. Dreadful was over at Raven in a flash. She bit him hard on the nose, a clear warning that she didn't want that kinda crap now. Raven pawed at his nose, and gave a loud whine. Dreadful snorted and started to eat her food.

Mariah shook her head at the two dobies, and then pulled out a mug. She set it on the table with a spoon, and found a hot cocoa mix. Warming up some milk, she mixed it in with the cocoa inside the mug. When she finally finished, she sat down with a plop on the chair. She sipped on the cocoa quietly, her mind whirling. Yeah, big damn deal...She was pregnant and her days were numbered. So? Her main concern now was Aaron. It was all too clear to her that if Aaron lost Rhiannon, Mariah would lose Aaron...and she didn't need that right now...
