Alright, I went to see Star Wars II the other weekend and I was hoping for some good previews and we did get The Matrix Reloaded, Austin Powers-Goldmember, and the new Tom Cruise movie with psychics "predicting" the future before people commit crimes even if they might not...scary. But what I didn't like was the new movie called Like Mike with Lil' Bow wow. Haven't we seen enough rock stars fail miserably in movies where they are the star? Everyone except for Jennifer Lopez who definitely didn't fail in movies because that's where she started. And her music career made it even better with her wearing even less. But, on to my list so far:

Mariah Carey in Glitter
Brittney Spears in Crossroads
An N'sync member in Grease 3 which I guess didn't die out after the second Grease.
Lance and other N'syncers in On the Line
Kid Rock in Joe Dirt where he had a minor role, but he really sucked as an actor...not like the movie was that much better.

Jewel in Ride with the Devil which as one non-journalist person put it, it has Jewel so it can't be so bad.
Busta Rhymes in Finding Forrester Actually a good flick.
Shaft had Vanessa Williams and Busta in it, but she was in Playboy before she started singing and Busta was in a minor role, again.
DMX in Exit Wounds but it had Steven Seagal, so that made it good.
Aaliyah & DMX in Romeo Must Die but it did have Jet Li, so that helped it.
And Aaliyah in Queen of the Damned released after her beauty left this world just so people could make money off of her. Kinda like Tupac's post-mortem album release.
Coolio in a bunch of movies, some where ok.

I can't think of anymore, but that should do, now let's look over them all to see what we can find of interest... Hmm, perhaps out of all this, we've found the key. If you are a music icon and want to make a movie, do not take a lead role!! The movie will only suck at that point.
