Subject: Why Richard?

Why Richard Ashcroft? He destroyed the Verve. Nick McCabe is the man that made this band great. Look at Urban Hymns, a very average album because it was supposed to be Richard's first solo album. The first EP and A Storm in Heaven are the best discs because Nick McCabe was responsible for most of the music writing. Make a Nick McCabe page, not a Mad Richard one. They used to be the greatest shoegazer dreampop band ever, then Richard turned them into a plain pop/rock band. Plus, Richard isn't the greatest lyricist. If the Verve had Thom Yorke, then they'd be absolutely the greatest band ever. If Radiohead had Nick McCabe, they'd be the best ever.
