Subject: V6 Transmission Sports Program Selector Button

I have a 1999 406 V6 Auto and am not happy about the position of the 'Sports' program button. It is placed in a position suitable for left-hand drive cars although my model is right-hand drive. I have turned the switch body round so that the sports button is nearer to me than the 'Ice' button but ideally I would like to rewire the button to operate from the spare left hand column stalk tip button. Any ideas on the feasibility of this mod? Is the button activatable? What is the wiring which would need to re-routed? It's an elegant idea but can it be done easily?

Is there anyone who would know?

Don't get me wrong. I'm very impressed with the 406 V6 but the position of this button has been left where it suits French drivers and it's really irritating trying to find it in a hurry when you need the power from the V6. In standard transmission mode it's a little flat.
