Hi Guys

Sorry not to have replied but I did not visit the forum because I was in hospital (Nothing to do either the car or the chip!)

I used Superchip and I can understand why you had difficulty getting the job done. The fanchised tuning shop took 3 attempts to read the ECU but eventually after discussions with Superchip HQ they managed and the re-mapping went in and the car transformed. Worth the effort. I think the problem is that the V6 is a very rare car that's hardly seen at tuning shops. Most owners tend to be satisfied with what Peugeot gives them. I used Regal Autosport at Southampton who specialise in GM cars but were prepared to go the extra mile for my V6. They had previously done a 2.3 Honda Prelude for me. I really like Superchips. They don't go for all out crankshaft breaking power. What extra you get is smooth and manageable and, I hope, not stressful to the engine.

The free flow air filter element is not to be overlooked. It just makes sure that the engine has enough air to use the power without running out of breath.

I must admit the the power output figures are only estimates based on suppliers specs. The chip offers 12 bhp and the freeflow filter releases another 2-3 at high revs. Although I have read articles which said that on some cars with very restricted air intake systems, a free flow element could unlock a lot more bhp for your buck than almost any other tuning can. I don't know how restrictive the V6 air intake is. No one offers a tuned induction kit for it but that's probably because it's relatively rare. Regal Autosport offered me a supercharger kit for over £2000.00 but I declined!
