Ironhead Forge
The heat of purgatory drifts through gaping double doors, accompanied by furious slams of hammer shaping the glowing, pliant metals. Pounding ceases, as the blacksmith hears your footsteps approaching his sacred forge. Strong, clean-cut features topped by a tousled raven mane round the corner, stemming from a thick neck, leading to a sweaty, muscled torso. Blackened fingers absently wipe themselves on an even blacker cloth. "Ach, stranger. How may I assist you?" You are greeted by his intense, yet somber blue gaze, asking you to state your business quickly.

Lady o' 24 winters enters 'pon the gilded bella o' refined lineage. Slipping agilely from elevated seat,she affectionately rubs Sirius 'hind perched auds,giving her her well deserved treat o' lightly spun sugar. Then taking off unmetaled bridle,balnket and few belongings,she gently urges Sirius to take a break in the pasture.

Then after watching her disappear,she searches around the smith for any signs of how she was to do what she had come to do. Then miraculously,she finds a book of all his works and toolings,and she sets down to look at this,to see if she could become the Blacksmithess,perhaps,perhaps not.

Simply clad figure walks steadily in,leading the fine gilt mare Sirius. Emerald gaze searches for the familiar Roman,yet seeing as he had other buisness,she nods briefly in his direction,she had only wished to see he was fine after that dragon incident. Earthen tresses flit about comely features,cradled by the scorching breezes produced in the smithy. Note is taken on the strange lad with that magnificent royal stallion hued o' obsidian,yet recieving a jealous nudge from Sirius,she merely chuckles then leads her to the pasture. Her slender hand patting her loyal mount with affectionate carresses.

OOC: I am so sorry i could not help more,man that posting board was a mess with different posts,I just kinda gave up.:)

He was leading a fine stallion on a rawhide jawstrap and teather.

The raven pelted stallion tossed his head, skitting side ways in anticipation, joyful and energetic antics causing his master to crack a smile.

Approaching Roman he said, somewhat hesitantely and warily, "I brought him to get his feet trimmed." Quickly he added, "Not that I can't do it. But I'd figured you could do a better job." He held out his hand, palm up, the leather shank offered to Roman. Unless the blacksmith would rather have him hold the brute; he could get pretty spirited and unruley fast.

Mia parades in; carrying a small woven basket, in it were a French loaf, a creampuff and a jar of strawberry jam, and sometimes bringing custard or blueberry. She puts it on of the counter where it is noticeable.

Striding forth into the smithy,nostrils flare as scent of coal,fire and heated iron assail her senses. In her hand is clutched the rolled parchment telling of a mare hued o' sunshine just waiting for a youthful companion. Cool zephyr blows from the north,providing slight relief from the searing heat that fairly further curled her already wavy tresses. Reaching for a leather tie in her pocket,she settled her earthen tresses,taming their unruly lengths in minutes. Then emerald gaze searches for the Blacksmith,sensing that she would have to put on a good impression if she was to deserve this fair equine. She nodded with approaval,she did not admire any sapien who just gave away any animal just to be rid of it,yet she doubted that was the case for this Blacksmith. Another rare breeze rushes through,carrying her scent of woodlily and moonflower about the smithy. Still not seeing the Blacksmith,she looked about and settled her weight 'pon a convientent wall,ready to wait if need be.

| A slight exhale marks his relief at returning to the small shop. How quickly a new house becomes home. In a quick scan of the premises, he spies Kaeria's note and tip, prompting the corners of his hard lips to slightly rise. After pocketing the money, he flings off the canvas cover, revealing rows of metal rods, sheets and tools. "Next time I take the horse to pull this stuff, danged heavy." Quickly replenishing the stocks of the forge, he stores the cart by the side of the building. Anticipant steps take him to the stable. |

Your horses are stabled in the barn out back. Get them whenever you please, they have about three days food. Ceres and Sirius won't bother you, they are in pasture.

| Methodically, he leads the pair of horses to the forge, tying the mother some feet away from the fire. A smooth, calm tone issues to reassure her and the foal. Slow movements characterize his shufflings as he securely ties the foal to a post growing from the ground, and a nearby oak. Continuously murmuring sweet nothings in the babe's pricked ears, he lifts one tiny hoof. As quickly as he can without compromising quality, he forms the nail even and parallel with the horizontal earth. Quadruple smoothings waste the afternoon, until completion. Satisfied with the job, he releases the foal from its bonds, to return to its mother and drink. Still projecting the calm demeanor, the smithy crossties the mare, preparing for her hoof trim. The same mechanical movements performed on the foal, he performs on the dappled mare, never halting the incantation of silly rhythms and lovely melodies. Upon the final rasp of the metal file, he straightens. Time for the mare's shoes. Corded forearms tighten to pump the resistant bellows, tizzying the embers to roaring flames. Once again, he takes the gun-metal rod of steel and burns it in the furnace, silently suffering the explosive heat. Swiftly transferring the glowing rod to the firm surface of the anvil, his ready hammer smites the pulsing minerals, bending it to his iron will. All four shoes are shaped in this manner, with an occasional check on the mare's hooves for a divine fit. In final action, he takes the bitter nails to pursed lips, and taps the shoes onto the mare's receptive hooves. Done, he leads both back to the comfortable pasture. |

| Smithy leads in Ravyn, subsequently crosstying him to the brick walls. He begins on the rear right hoof, sporting a file and small knife to trim the rough bone. He shapes the hoof till it meets his satisfaction in form and texture. The process is repeated until all four flints are evenly placed upon the sod. He turns to his forge, the memory of the hoofprints lodged in his head for the moment. The bellows huff thier gassy contents to a blazing fire, maddening the flames till fireworks light the chimney. Taking a rod of steel, he heats it till glowing as alive. Quickly removing the rod, rocking blows deal penance to the metal, flattening it and shaping the shoe till it turns as required. The metal visits the fire once more, for refining the shape. Finally, he plunges it into a bucket of aquamarine, causing clouds to arise and dissappate in the brisk afternoon breeze. He repeats this process mechanically, checking the shoes against the stallion's foot, and shaping them as needed. When done, he leads the stallion back to the stable. |

| Soot-smudged, sweat curling down his wrinkled brow, he takes to the furnace, corded sinews pumping resistant bellows. The artificial lungs belch tepid breaths into the receptive flames, tizzying them to a fury of hells flames, snapping, crackling in gleeful protest. Bare-chested, the smithy, satisfied with the intense heat, grabs a length of steel, created earlier in the week. Plunged into the inferno, the steel gradually crimsons, till it seems to drip golden flames. Quickly, the smithy yanks the molten color from the furnace, and slams it on the receptive anvil. BANG! BANG! BANG! The hammer deals it's punishment to the metal, shaping it into the needed U of a horseshoe. He reheats the metal once more, to refine the shape and texture of the shoe. Finally, he takes his chisel, and pounds the five nail holes through the steel. SHHHHHHHHH... cries the metal as it plunges into icy water. Only dead grey minerals emerge from the water, hooked on the tong. This procedure the blacksmith repeats three times, for Knights shoes. Wearied from his efforts, he sends the fire to embers, and exits his shop. |

The girl rides in 'pon her black stallion Ravyn, who prances lightly in the fresh Spring earth. Spooking at a swallow high above, he leaps; Kaeria silents him firmly with her hands and he continues to ride along somewhat calmly. Behind she leads a dappled mare, who's little chestnut foal runs 'bout, free of lead. The mare nickers and the foals sadly prances back to her, eyeing the butterflys playing amoung the grasses enviously. Seeing someone else being served, Kaeria dismounts and stretches out her legs; she had ridden all this morning and was quite exhausted.
