Oni gripped the metallic handle of his energy blade tightly, every muscle tensed, and absently noted that his breath curled before him. He suppressed a shiver as the apparition before him looked about the room. The temperature didn't matter though; his instincts were as sharp as his blade as he faced a potential new opponent, either PHOTRON-generated or otherwise...

He glided more than walked, and his chin and insufferable smirk recessed into an endless darkness behind the hood he wore. As he circled, the room seemed to gray in his wake, color draining behind him. A low chuckle reverberated within Oni's mind as the translucent intruder spoke.

"You have a fire within, blazing bright, but to the Sith they are but the tiniest of embers, in desperate, desperate need of stoking.

You have colleagues not friends. You train alone. You seek comraderie in an artificial entity that presently is paying as much notice to your individuality as the rest of your carbon copy soldier 'friends.' You do not BELONG Oni; you are unique among them, and your soul cried out to the Sith from across the stars.

It was not by accident that you found your new weapon in the deserts below. The long and perilous journey of your new soulmate is a story for another time, but the path to its origin may be closer than you yourself realize, a path you must follow at any cost.

Power and evil and greed and hate....these emotions are strong in many aboard this metal tomb you delude yourself into regarding as home. One has borrowed one of our pets, but it amuses us to let him do so. As young and untrained a mind as your own in many ways, it will be some time before the threat he poses us rivals us, or even his...but that is no matter for now. There is nothing that does not fit into our plans.

There may well be another and so time is of the essence. You are already on the path...embrace your instincts and your rage, and the way WILL become known to you. Let the Sith focus and hone your abilities, let that weapon become an extension, no, a very PART of yourself! Join us, Oni Ikari.

The cloaked figure folded his arms before him, lowering his head as he slowly faded and the room's hue returned. With sweat beading, Oni remained rooted in place, his eyes shifting to a digital chronometer on the wall. Virtually no time had passed since his training session had concluded; what was going on?

The artifact. Oni's rage welled within him now; he WAS alone, his visitor spoke true. He was better than any of his comrades, yet none treated him thus. But now things could change. Oni embraced his anger and found, a universal fundamental energy through which he was bound to Versary. He would find Versary, no matter the cost, and go through whomever necessary to reach the means by which to do so...
