LEGOman

Alias: Jack Ledgerman

Special Powers/talents: LEGOman can LEGOkinetically control, animate, and reshape matter from the dimension known as 'LEGOtopia.' In his original incarnation, parts of his body could be reshaped by his will. His hands could detach from his wrists, remaining attached via an unbreakable cable in his forearm of undetermined length. Recently he lost his first form, only to have his original human body enhanced again, this time by the LEGOcorans, a race of LEGObeings of undetermined origin but presumably separate from his LEGOtopian benefactors. In this form, his skin remains ultra-hard plastic and he wields a purple staff. No part of his body detaches though his helmet and parts of his uniform could presumably be reshaped and moved by his LEGOkinetic abilities. LEGOman once possessed the ability to 'boardhop' and teleport between realms, by stepping into LEGOtopia and back out into the SPUniverse at different spatial coordinates. Cut off from this dimension it is a logical conclusion that this ability is lost to him.

Physical Description: Five feet, nine inches. Skin is a yellow, polished plastic. Outfit consists of a purple body suit, large purple boots, a boxy yellow vest, and a triangular opaque red helmet. As previously mentioned he wields a staff.

Home: LEGOman was originally a native of Earth, and later made his home in the other-dimensional realm known as LEGOtopia, of which he was the appointed guardian. Recently he has been cut off from this realm and now wanders the SPUniverse. His last known transmission was from the LEGOcoran LEGOcouncil, a locale currently not matching the archiving system's prior data.

History: LEGOman first made an appearance in the SPUniverse when the menace of TM II BoGoŽ reared his plastorganic furred head. The transmetal terror had one goal in mind upon his creation; the destruction of BoGo, the template upon which he was based and sidekick of the Boardhopper Rynox. Protector of all things LEGO, even in part, LEGOman intervened, teleporting BoGo out of harm's way to peaceful LEGOtopia, where he was guarded as Rynox and TM II BoGoŽ began their epic battle. Upon the discorporation of TM II BoGoŽ by allies of LEGOman, BoGo was safely returned to Rynox and LEGOman returned to his protectorate.

Month's passed, and when a worried Rynox eventually brought a sick BoGo to the edge of LEGOtopia for healing, LEGOman was nowhere to be found. LEGOman had been abducted by the sinister Simian Omega, leader of a guerrilla unit of gorillas, apes and other cybernetic, cybertronian and plastorganic primates known as 'Ultimate BoGo 2000', or the UB2K. In his first campaign TM II BoGoŽ had employed several 'BoGo-drones,' sub-clone precursors to his purely mechanical RoBoGoŽs and Death RoBoGoŽs. Simian had been one; UB2K's resident genius brain-ape had been another, though he had changed himself too much to be recognized by Simian. Simian Omega fed off of LEGOman's energy, as well as captive Alpha Trion, an entity of energy who had been one of LEGOman's aforementioned allies against TM II BoGoŽ. Little is known about this entity other than it took its name from a figure in Autobot history and could manifest itself in several locations at once. Eventually, Simian got greedy and absorbed the lifeforce of most of his unit, except for brain-ape. He burned himself out in a final campaign against Rynox in LEGOtopia, and LEGOman returned to his duties, somewhat quietly embarrassed at his near failure to protect the realm and his own defeat.

LEGOtopia was relatively quiet for some time following these events, most notably during a brief period when Rynox was thought dead and mourned by the other heroes. Thankfully, this account proved false and eventually Rynox returned. But when the gates of LEGOtopia were opened once more, something strange was noticed. The color was slowly draining from the realm. This concerned LEGOman, moreso upon learning of the existence of The Ryno, a potential divergent persona and entity of Rynox. The Ryno possessed all of Rynox' powers and ego while the original seemed powerless and indifferent to the situation. Along with the LEGOcoran Blue-Valve, LEGOman learned the source of the problem; an immense craft known as the Rynestone with its own nexus chamber was fueling its energies with LEGOtopia's nigh limitless energy. Both pachyderm's assured the guardian there was no need for concern, but LEGOman enlisted Alpha Trion to observe to be safe. Eventually the two traveled here to Starbase Rugby along with Rynox, The Ryno and BoGo, all guests at the Reed-Karlson wedding.

After the shock that the groom Karlson was TM II BoGoŽ wearing a pretender shell, LEGOman and others were faced with the undead WR@, a race of spirits from Manar, the world SBR orbits. These beings fed off fear and hatred and turned friends against one another. Casualties were high, and Alpha Trion was among them. LEGOman fought valiantly alongside Mercado, Dart Lavitz, Sinker and others gathered and survived. But, in the days following the invasion, he found a comatose Rynox and learned The Ryno and BoGo were no longer aboard the Starbase. Of more concern was that his hue was slowly fading from bright yellows and reds to a grey, and he was growing weaker. Additionally, Sinker, one of his allies, had attacked him and left willingly in the company of TM II BoGoŽ's Death RoBoGoŽs. Finding himself unable to teleport back to LEGOtopia, he enlisted the aid of LEGOcorans aboard SBR at the time. The LEGOcorans constructed a device in the Docking Bay which would teleport them to their native LEGOcore constructs. From their they hoped to break through the wall blocking LEGOtopia. He was to be accompanied by FawnDoo and Shadow, students of the mysterious Shaper seeking their teacher, Batbot, an emissary of the Cybertronian Council, and Basil, a creature known as a Manch. He chose not to tell other friends, Ebonhawk and Mercado, that he also hoped to find their ally Sinker or that he suspected TM II BoGoŽ had corrupted him.

LEGOman and the others arrived first at LEGOlife, sans Basil and Batbot who had leapt prematurely before the portal was properly calibrated. Surprisingly, they were quickly joined by Rynox who had revived in the medlabs and chosen to follow. When they made a second leap now from LEGOlife to LEGOcouncil, Rynox remained behind once more. There at LEGOcouncil, LEGOman found himself both devoid of color and completely frozen. This condition quickly turned out to be a chrysalis state and his plastorganic body shattered, revealing to his friends his original human form as Jack Ledgerman. It had been centuries since he had been human, but Jack now recalled how as a businessman and a divorced father, his obsession with his work had nearly cost him everything. His marriage was over and in trying to maintain a relationship with his son, he had brought him along on an inspection of a warehouse his company owned. There, along with his staff and his son, he was taken hostage by arms-dealers. He figured the odds an illegal deal would be taking place the same day he brought his staff to inspect the site let alone his son were at least 2%, if not much less. Ever the persuasive CEO, Jack tried reasoning with Silas Grant, leader of their captors. But when police launched tear gas canisters into the warehouse, the situation grew dire. He tackled Grant, taking advantage of the confusion, and the two crashed through a window and out into the Long Island Sound outside.

Jack lost consciousness as he sank, and awoke in a shining room made of plastic bricks, with no windows and no doors. A voice offered him power in exchange for service. With his son in danger and at least one of his staff wounded, Jack agreed. Donning his crimson helmet for the first time he was transformed into LEGOman. Returned now to the docks, he used his powers to create a car, the first of many vehicles he would LEGOkinetically use in his war against a group of villains with LEGObodies as well, led now by Grant's mind which survived in a LEGObody as well.

LEGOman battled many foes for a long time on Earth, outliving most of his family and friends. When the menace he needed to combat there was defeated, it was time for the final task he had agreed to. He became guardian of LEGOtopia, uninhabited since the beings that dwelt there had long since elevated to a plane above material plastic bodies. He lived in peace until TM II BoGoŽ brought him into action once more, and in time had almost forgotten his time as Ledgerman.

Jack now accepted a staff from the LEGOcore, one that coated his body in a protective purple sheath and increased his agility. It was little substitute for his old powers, but when LEGOcouncil was attacked by the Electriad, Sinker, and ten Death RoBoGoŽs, a vision at LEGOwar featuring the deceased Transmetal Party Weasel convinced him to accept LEGOcore's offer to restore him. A new LEGObody, more human looking than his old boxy one, was granted him and his LEGOkinetic powers were restored. He subdued Sinker and brought him to LEGOcouncil, where he then journeyed to LEGOtopia after Shadow and several Cybertronian Councillers, Windshear, Prowl, and Imperial NOVA. LEGOman has not been heard from since.

Quote: "So, let me get this straight. I put this thing on, I get another chance? I go back, stop Grant or whatever he's become, save my son, SEE my son again and all my friends and family and in return, I have to protect your world someday? Seems to me like there's not much choice. I need a second chance; you need a hero.

I'm your LEGOman."

Note: This archive was compiled from two separate entries made to SBR public folders by a user logged on as 'LEGOman.' The first was made shortly after power was restored following the WR@ attack but preceding LEGOman's departure from the station. The second came from a transmission sent from LEGOcouncil shortly before LEGOman was said to have entered a portal to LEGOtopia. As it was not compiled by Rugby personnel or inspected by official Library staff, SBR cannot be responsible for any inaccuracies or mistruths contained within.
