Thanks Phil, for getting this article into the Camp Chase Gazette.
An annual subscrition to the Camp Chase Gazette is $33.00 per year, and the annual subscription fee is discounted if you purchase a two or three year subscription. The Civil War Preservation Trust is a great program that is saving many acres of land in the eastern U.S. from contractors and other developers. CWPT has Wal Mart a bay for many years on various contruction sites on battlefields where Wal Mart has wanted to built their superstores. Through Congressional interventions many acres have been saved. Through federal grants where the government and private organizations put forth two dollars for every one dollar the CWPT puts forward, the purchase of battlefield acerage has been notable.
For those who have an interest in the Civil War from the common re-enactors Camp Chase Gazatte is a good deal.
Thanks Phil for keeping the Red River Battalion in the forefront of many re-enactors and many re-enacting units by submitting articles to this publication.
