I entered the barn and headed towards the tack room to pick up tack and grooming supplies. i headed towards Memento's stall and groomed him till he shone. i then lead him outside and cross tied him while i saddled him. i then mounted and walked him towards the ring, which had been set up as a jumping arena. most of the jumps were about between 3' and 4'. i walked him around and cantered him before entering the 'arena'. i then cantered him through the staring markers and headed him towards the first fence. it was a double having both fences about 3'7" and he cleared it easily and smoothly without staggering in between. we cantered on towards a colourful fence of about 3'9", he shuddered at the sudden burst of colour but still manged to clear the jump. we completed the rest of the course with only 2 faults ( he tapped one of the poles, but it did not fall and on a 4' near the end, he knocked the top rail off. in all it was a pretty good round. although he is not a showjumper, this practice will really help him on the cross country course. i then released him back into his paddock.
