I was listening to you guys this moring about all the things to buy for a new baby. When i had my first child... i was warned to make sure that the baby would not roll over while sleeping and to NEVER sleep with my baby. I had the beautiful crib and baby bassinet but i could not see my baby inside them while i was laying in my bed... so i came up with the greatest plan... i put her in the car seat! YES.. i said car seat...i straped her in a tucked her all around with a swaddler... she slept there and didnt seem to mind. Best of all, if i ever fell asleep(which was impossible during the first 6 weeks!)i could simply open my eyes and she'd be right there! The crib was ultimately used as a basket for clean baby clothes that i had no energy left to put away... and the bassinet used for dirty clothes i had no energy to wash!! When she got older... it was used to hold her in one place for a few minutes just to catch my breath! When my son came along... i used the same car seat arrangement!!
