Angel #09:

ACT ONE
Previously: Lilah introducing Constantine; Wes deciphering the scripts; Wes destroying the scripts; Lilah watching on a camera; Lilah revealing she still has the scripts; Angel threatening Wes; Angel and Cordy making up - Angel saying he won't be evil again; Gunn telling Cordy that he wants Fred back - Cordy vision of a baby; Gunn proposing to Fred; Fred seeing the newspaper; Fred speaking to Wes; Anne coming to the gang; the woman from Judgement saying the tribunal fell apart and W&H are after her; Angel telling Gunn to Linwood and Lilah saying that Wes is a traitor and this is his last chance; Anne being stabbed; Cordy saving Anne; Gunn the driving the woman to the station; W&H chasing; at station Wes giving up; Wes leaving the station; Connor saying to Angel about second chances; Constantine calling forth the spirits; Lilah holding a gun to Constantine's head; Angel being possessed.

We find ourselves in the hills of Ireland� hey with CyberScripts we have a good budget. Angel wakes up in the middle of an ancient stone circle on top of a hill. His sister - yep his sister - speaks from behind Angel and he whips around scared. She tells Angel that things are getting dark and we see the sky has turned an ominous black. Sister tells Angel that he has to fight the darkness otherwise bad things might happen. A naive Angel asks what sort of things. The sister whispers to Angel a passage from the scripts about the apocalypse. Angel asks how he can stop it - he is just one man. Sister tells Angel he is the champion; the world's fate rests on his shoulders. Angel looks off into the distance where he sees lighter skies. Angel starts running towards the light. Sister tells Angel not to get lost on the way.

Cordelia sits at home with Dennis basically being really mopey. She gets out the photo album and which has pics of the Sunnydale gang, Doyle and Wes and Angel. And she just basically has a sob-fest.

Anne and Gunn are in the shelter. Gunn is trying to make up for all the time he has forgotten about the problems on the streets. Anne says that Gunn is still doing good - just in a different way; he is happy with what he does. Anne is proud of Gunn. Gunn smiles. She asks about Wes. Gunn goes quiet. Anne realises she has hit a sore topic. Gunn opens up a little and says things with him and Wes are so strained - he was his best friend sorta thing.

Back in non-inside-head world, 'Possessed Angel' (PA), walks semi-naked through the hotel. PA notices that the doors and windows and have been sealed up. PA walks across to the weapon's cabinet wanting to see it's host's reflection� but nope. PA looks a little disorientated. PA touches the glass and gets a flash of the Silde buzzing around in it's force-field container. PA smashes the glass of the cabinet and Angel picks out a celtic sword - PA grins. Connor appears in the shattered glass' reflection. Connor asks if Angel is okay. PA gets a series of flashes of Connor in previous situation. PA looks up and Angel manages to break through the possession to tell Connor to run. PA takes control and Angel's eyes flash over black. Connor sprints away. Connor sprints down a corridor. He reaches a new corridor but PA is there waiting. PA grins at him. PA pushes Connor further back and back. PA reveals to Connor that the Silde has not found a host; it's presence is like a plague for the Fromanian. Connor sees an item usable as a weapon; he uses it giving a little time for some escape action. Connor grabs on to the end of one of those fire hoses on a reel thingy. He launches himself out of the window at the end of the corridor and swings down into a window two levels down. Connor rushes along and bangs on Fred's door. Fred opens the door and Connor grabs her wrist and tells her they have to get out of the hotel. Fred is all confused. Connor explains all he has worked out. PA calls from behind Connor and Fred. Connor pushes Fred behind him. PA advances. Connor and PA have a fight and PA ends up stabbing Connor with the sword. He tells Fred to run. PA is already there with his sword. PA growls and throws Fred into Connor. Fred looks to Connor who holds his wound.

ACT TWO
Lilah gets back to her flat. She pours herself some whiskey or something. Constantine steps out from behind Lilah. He is pissed off. Lilah offers him a drink. Constantine smashes the glass away or tells Lilah he doesn't want one. Lilah walks seductively up to Constantine and softly brushes her finger against his chest. Constantine is turned on. Lilah walks seductively behind Constantine; she whispers into his ear about how he'd do anything to find out whom is the host for the Fromanian spirit. Lilah puts her hand down Constantine's trousers. It only takes seconds for Constantine to pant - Lilah is well practised. Using her other hand she manages to get a gun from the drawer behind Constantine. She pulls it on Constantine and stops *coughing* him off. Constantine tells Lilah that she won't shoot him. Lilah thinks he is wrong. Constantine looks seductively up at Lilah; he is all cocky - he knows Lilah is attracted. Lilah glares as Constantine heads to the door. Lilah warns Constantine that W&H will be after him. The phone rings - it is Linwood. Lilah collects herself before hearing about Wes' betrayal.

Cordelia walks into the lobby and wanders to the couch. She sees an item of Angel's on the couch and she sits down next to it and smells it and holds it for comfort. She looks down and sees the smashed glass on the floor. She looks around and sees blood going into the office. Behind her is Angel. PA is interrupted by another set of flashes of Angel and Cordelia's past. Angel breaks through and tells Cordy he can't get it out. Cordy asks what. Angel says Cordy is in danger. Cordy asks from what. PA breaks through again and says "me". Cordy looks at Angel's glowing eyes and tries to use her psychic powers but they aren't working. PA tells Cordy the darkness of the Fromanian overwhelms the powers of her powers - all things dark he controls or something. She backs away. PA strokes Cordy's cheek. He suddenly retracts and grabs her throat pinning her down. He looks at her sadistically - he says the light in her disgusts him but the Silde will want her. PA throws her into the room where we see Connor and Fred bound and gagged. PA goes back into the lobby to busy himself with doing things. Cordy ungags Fred and Fred tells her that Connor is hurt. Cordy asks what is happening. Connor mumbles about Angel being possessed by the Fromanian - Connor says his father kept going on about the Fromanian. Fred says they have to warn Gunn. Cordy looks around. Fred looks up to see PA standing in the doorway; he holds a knife. He grabs Cordy and tells her it is time for the initiation. Cordy backs out into the lobby with the knife at her throat. Connor sees a letter opener on the table; he says Fred can use it to cut the ropes. Neither of them can reach. Connor uses his body to shunt the table causing the letter opener to fall on the floor and skid away out of reach. Fred looks at the letter opener eagerly.

In the inside-of-Angel's head world, Angel is sprinting like fuck through the forest. He comes out into a clearing. Cordy is sitting in the centre of the clearing hunched up and crying. Angel rushes towards her. They kiss. Cordy says she loves Angel so much. Angel looks at the darkness of the sky behind him. He tells Cordy they need to go - he turns back to see Cordy is now a walking, decaying corpse - nice. She strokes Angel's cheek and tells him that all is lost. Angel's sister calls out from behind Angel. Angel turns and then looks back to Cordy still hunched up and crying (and normal again). The sister tells Angel that the darkness is spreading quicker than she thought - he hasn't got long. We see things moving through the woods behind him. She tells Angel that what is happening is not his fault. Angel says he can't leave Cordy here. The sister promises to protect Cordy for as long as she can. She tells Angel to get going. Angel wavers before sprinting off. The clouds begin to cover the sky in the clearing and sister looks to Cordy as the rain starts to fall; she whispers c'mon Angel as the clearing fills with the dark beings.

PA pushes Cordy into his bedroom. He locks the door behind her. He goes over to the kitchen unit and turns on the kitchen hob/stove/oven rings. Cordy asks what he is gonna do. PA says if released, the Silde will be drawn to someone randomly; he needs to make sure Cordy is the one who receives it. Cordy realises this is the mark on the back of Angel's neck. PA turns around with the knife he was holding red-hot from being on the stove. He moves towards Cordy and she tries to back away. PA holds Cordy down and she screams in agony.

ACT THREE
Fred hears the scream and rocks sideways to grab the knife. She works on her ropes. She rushes out into the reception. Grabbing the phone she hides behind the desk. She goes c'mon Charles sorta thing. In Gunn's flat he wakes up and picks the phone up. Fred says that Angel has been possessed by a spirit called the Fromanian. They're all in danger - he's already hurt Connor. Gunn says he is gonna kill Angel if he has hurt Fred. Fred tells Gunn that he can't come to the hotel. Gunn asks what he should do. Fred is gonna say something else when... we see PA in front of her. Gunn shouts for Fred. PA tells Fred off for using the phone. He takes the phone off her. (We see Cordy in the background on the floor in immense pain.) PA grabs Fred's throat and tells Gunn via the phone that he is suddenly feeling very, very hungry. He bends down and starts to nuzzle Fred's neck. He makes some nibbiling noises. PA: I'll tell you exactly what ya need to do... Gunn tells Angel that he'll kill him if he hurts Fred. PA tells Gunn to watch his language. Gunn asks what he wants. He tells Gunn that the Silde is being held in a force-field in W&H; Gunn has one hour before Fred gets killed. Gunn asks how he can release it. PA tells Gunn that the clock is ticking. He hangs up and throws Fred down so she hits her head on the desk before getting a bag of blood from the fridge and gulping it down. From the floor Cordy glares at Angel before looking at the clock - 1 hr to go - can he do it? *bites fingernails*

Gunn gets out of the truck and sprints into Motel's reception room. He asks the guy for the room number of Wes. The guy says Wes has just left. Gunn grabs the guy's shirt and demands to know where - the airport. Gunn gets into his truck and slams on the gas. He tries ringing Wes.

In his car Wes sees the phone ringing. He picks it up ready to answer - he hangs up. Wes speeds ahead en route to the airport.

Lilah meets Linwood in W&H. She asks whether Wes has been tracked down yet. Linwood says there are no tickets booked to Wesley's name at all. Lilah thinks for a moment before rushing over to a computer. She accesses Wes' files and realises he has managed to obtain false documents under a new alias. Linwood tells Lilah that he hopes she can track Wes down before he leaves for her sake - otherwise she is getting the blame. Linwood leaves as Lilah types away; she finds out that Wes plans on leaving by plane to London soon. Lilah says gotcha before phoning for W&H black ops.

Linwood gets into his car to find Constantine sitting next to him. Constantine is all sinister and says he is very cross with W&H for the stint the played. Linwood tries to get out of the car but Constantine uses magic to lock it. Linwood asks what Constantine wants. Constantine says he wants what he came to W&H originally to get.

Back in the office at the Hyperion, Fred tends to Connor. Cordy sits in the corner with her eyes shut trying to block everything out. Fred basically tells Cordy to snap out of it. Cordy tells Fred that she can feel Angel trying to fight against the spirit inside him but the spirit is winning; after what happened to her Angel is losing hope. Fred tells Cordy that Charles will save them. PA walks in - he says tick tock tick tock. He looks at Fred and sinisterly says that time is running out.

Cut to Gunn speeding through the streets of LA. He spots Wes' car in the distance. He takes a shortcut through the back-streets. He ends up cutting Wes up so Wes has to stop. Wes thinks it is W&H he grabs a gun and holds it up to the attacker. Seeing Gunn he lowers the gun. Gunn tells Wes that something big is going on at the hotel. Wes says his plane leaves soon and if he doesn't leave W&H will get him. Gunn asks if he is just gonna leave his friends to die at the hands of Angel possessed by the Fromanian. At the sound of the Fromanian Wes pauses. He knows what it means. Gunn tells Wes they have less than 30 mins before Angel kills Fred. He says releasing the Silde may be the only way to save them all. Gunn asks what they do. Wes looks up. He says he goes into W&H. Gunn says that is suicide. Wes says he knows someone who can help him.

Wes walk into W&H. Security spots Wes. They rush towards him as Gunn sneaks into the security room where he takes out another security guy. Gunn sits at a desk and sees everything going on. Wes rushes through the early morning crowds in the W&H foyer. Gunn directs Wes away from security through headsets. Wes manages to get up the stairs. Gunn continues to direct Wes. Wes sees security ahead so he smashes a fire alarm. The alarms create havoc.

Lilah is in her room. Lilah calls security to ask what is going on. Gunn answers and freaks out Lilah.

ACT FOUR
Lilah rushes to the room where the Silde is being held. Wes steps out from behind her. He asks if she is lost. Lilah backs away from a rather manic Wesley. Wes tells her that he is gonna need Lilah's codes to deactivate the force-field. Lilah tries to bluff Wes but good ole Wes is having none of it. Wes tells Lilah that no-one is coming to save her. Wes screams in Lilah's face for her to give him the codes. Lilah is shit scared and puts in the codes. The spirit is released. It heads straight for LIlah but enters a portal before it hits her. Wes grabs Lilah's face and gives her a kiss of death (like the Mafia give) before grabbing the scrolls from the stand and running out. Lilah backs away.

Constantine is at home erratically pulling books out of his bookshelves. He finally finds the one he wants. We realise somehow that it is a locator spell to work out where the spirits are. The camera pulls back to see Linwood bound by a magical-ring on the floor. Constantine moves over to Linwood and says it won't hurt - much. Constantine chants and specks of black light emerge within the magical ring and enters Linwood - Linwood screams in pain. Linwood speaks with a demonic voice. Constantine has called a demonic spirit forth who speaks through Linwood. Constantine basically wants to know where the Fromanian is. The spirit cryptically says Angel. Constantine clicks his fingers. He says to Linwood isn't that who he is always trying to go evil - makes sense now. Linwood cowers away from Constantine. Constantine tells Linwood that his use has come to an end (using the exact same words Linwood said to Constantine said at the of the last ep). Constantine says a single word and Linwood's spirit is literally sucked out of him. Linwood is dead. Constantine calls for his assistant to deal with the body.

In dream-land Angel runs through a bog and over the brow of a hill to see the horizon. The ocean. The sun is beginning to set over the horizon. Angel pants.

Cordy watches PA pacing back and forth. Cordy tries to get through to the Angel inside by talking to him about the good life. PA tells Cordy to shut up. Cordy continues. PA grabs Cordy by the throat.

He looks down into the puddle. He sees the face of Angelus. Angel pulls back. He turns around to the darkness that has enveloped the land. He can hear the creatures that have been following him whispering behind him.

Connor speaks out adding into the good stuff. PA drops Cordy� he holds his head in pain.

Angel decides (he can speak out) that running is useless. He turns to face the darkness. To face his fears. He shouts out to the darkness.

PA tells them to shut up. Cordy stands up behind PA. She continues to try and make Angel hear her.

Angel tells the darkness that he isn't gonna run anymore. The darkness tell him in scary echo voices that the darkness already has him. Angel says no.

Cordy touches PA's cheek. Angel looks up. Suddenly a white portal opens and the Silde rushes through and enters Cordy. Cordy jumps back before her eyes flash white. Angel's eyes flash an intense black.

Suddenly the darkness jolts forward as if with a new intent. It surrounds Angel. Angel falls to his knees in the puddle. And says he won't let them take him. The darkness says they already have him. His soul keeps him from pure darkness� but they (the Fromanian) cloud his soul now. Angel screams in pain.

Cordy rushes forward and tackles Angel to the ground. We now have one of the biggest fucking fights EVER. This is huge. With the spirits in them Angel and Cordy are now incredibly strong. It is basically the Silde and Fromanian fighting. This is it; the battle between good and bad, light and dark� These two now have major power� they can punch each other through walls e.t.c. The lobby is about to become one huge disaster zone and Fred knows it. She helps Connor get up and she struggles to get him to the door. Angel sees them trying to exit and uses some psychic powers to throw them back into the room but Cordy blocks the move. Angel/Fromanian and Cordy/Silde argue about what is happening. Wes/Gunn run into the lobby and see the fight. They rush to Connor and Fred. Fred tells them that they have to be stopped or Angel and Cordy will kill each other. Wes looks over the scrolls as part of the building starts to collapse - the whole foundations are shaking. Gunn saves Wes at some point from a falling brick or something. Angel and Cordy are now panting and exhausted. Wes starts to recite something from the scripts. Angel pins Cordy down and tells her that the light is weaker. Cordy saves herself and battles back. As Wes finishes the recital, the spirits are ripped out of their hosts sending Angel and Cordy flying back. The spirits starts to fight without their hosts. Fred and Gunn manage to get Connor, Angel and Cordy out of the collapsing foyer and onto the street outside. Wes stays to attempt to get the spirits to leave. Constantine comes in and screams as the sprits fade. Fred comes back in and attempts to drag Wes out - Wes rushes over to Constantine and tells him it is over. Constantine tells Wes that it isn't over till he says it is - Constantine runs out the back. Fred grabs Wes and pulls him out before the building starts to crumble. They check on Cordy. Cordy comes to and suddenly is hit with a PAINFUL vision. Everyone surrounds Cordy. Cordy looks past everyone as Angel stands up and does his Angelus grin. Everyone follows Cordy's gaze. "Angelus" she says.
