The son of a corrupt politician, David learned just how low some people can go to get power at a very young age. His mother left his power-hungry father when David was three, taking him with her to live in Iowa, and she raised him there until her death four years later from complications resulting from a mistaken perscription. David then lived with his father until his father was arrested for several crimes related to the latest election campaign, after which David, being seventeen, finished high school before packing up and going to California to attend college, where he met Nicholas. The two became fast friends, and continued to be so while David went to USC to get a degree in computer programming. He now rents an apartment with Nick, working as a computer programmer.

Sarcastic and cold, David tries not to show his feelings at any given time, resulting in few friendships and even fewer romantic relationships. His political experiences as a teen make him use his money practically, never being very frivolous when it comes to spending, or anything else for that matter. His personality and Nick's balance each other out very well, him being the talker and Nick being the listener.

Bio:

Born to an American father and a German mother, Nicholas spent his first few years growing up in Hamburg, Germany. When his mother died from heart failure, his father brought him back to live in his hometown, a Californian suburb. Living a relatively quiet life, he finished high school and went to a college to get a degree in teaching. He became friends with David in college, and now joint rents an apartment with David until he can get a job as a German teacher in one of the high schools.

Quiet and slow to talk, many consider Nick to be rather slow in the thinking department, though in truth he simply considers his words before speaking, which also results in some very hilarious wisecracks. Slow to anger and even slower to take offense, he puts up with David's sarcasm very well, and is very laid-back, unlike the practical David. He has a slight German accent, and still speaks German when given the chance. Radiates an attitude that keeps most children in line, while still being friendly and funny.
