He informs Miryam, We are to fight with Benden! Come! Miryam nods, and the blue soars upwards. ~Wait! Firestone??~ North halts, hovering. Have you not a sack under your arm? The rider grins sheepishly and brings the sack out from under her arm, pouring its contents into the blue's waiting maw. North grinds it with sharp teeth, then swallows it to his second stomach. He glides up to join the Benden wings, feeling nauseous and excited. Miryam grins nervously, gripping the leather harnesses a bit more than needed. North's eyes are half-calm. Where are the others? ~I know not, love. I suppose we shall have to fight without them.~ She shivers, knowing what that must mean. They were going into this Fall severely outnumbered by the silver Thread. Miryam watches the grey cloud advance. She lifts her head, determined to be unafraid. North readies his flame for the very moment the Thread would be upon them. . .
